
A man narrowly escaped death after his MacBook stopped a bullet during an attempted robbery-murder in São Paulo, Brazil.
According to the Public Security Secretariat, the 35-year-old victim was riding a motorcycle in the Jaguará neighborhood, in the western zone of São Paulo, last Tuesday (18), when he was approached by the robbers.
The group, consisting of five men, threw a bicycle at the motorcycle to make it stop. They turned off the vehicle, and one of them shot the man in the back, but the bullet lodged in the MacBook that was in the victim’s backpack.
The robbers then hopped on the motorcycle and fled the scene, leaving the bicycles behind. The victim was taken to the Regional Hospital of Osasco, where he was treated and released.
According to the Military Police, the motorcycle was found abandoned in the Rochdale neighborhood, in Osasco, São Paulo. The suspects are still being searched for by the authorities.
